30DMC - day 07

Today’s theme is green, and is the first in a two-part series looking at the (preliminary) results of last month’s New Zealand election.

Today the focus is on the Greens Party. The Greens (via Chlöe Swarbrick) won their first electorate seat since 1999.

They also did pretty well in the party vote. Today’s map1 shows the party vote percentage in each electorate:2

No prizes for the subject of tomorrow’s map (yellow)!

  1. Shout out to MapDruid for the hexagonal grid for a previous election, which I tweaked slightly due to electorate changes in 2020. ↩︎

  2. With apologies for not including the Māori electoratesMāori electorates now included. ↩︎
