Welcome to CARDIOID

Welcome to CARDIOID, a playground for economics and data.

What to expect here

An assortment of (micro-) economic thoughts as well as data related projects.

What is a cardioid, anyway?

A cardioid is the set of points traced by a point on the perimeter of a circle that is rolling around another, stationery circle of the same radius.

Equivalently, given a circle C and a point P on C, the envelope of all circles centred on C and passing through P forms a cardioid - this is the underpinning of the CARDIOID logo.

It’s an example of a simple mathematical rule creating an elegant shape.
